The floor to ceiling windows are starting to take shape.  The timber styles will picture frame the beautiful views out to the swimming pool and tennis court then overlooking the vineyard.

Before the frames go up, the boys from Pro Sanding grind the slab to expose the stone.

I guess your wondering Why so high out of the ground??  It was a condition of the permit that the finished floor height be 150mm above the highest known flood level.   This brings the raft slab to almost 1 metre high. Why a raft slab?? As the home will have polished concrete throughout to create thermal mass, the engineers believe that a raft slab will provide the best possible outcome for polished concrete floor with minimal imperfections.

Winning Homes were very professional and easy to work with. The attention to detail and desire to ensure the design was practical but interesting was evident from day 1. We felt part of the team and are delighted with our new home. Thanks Stephen. - Tony and Judy Lawler
